Made from traditional kaya fabric, this multi-purpose cleaning cloth is carefully woven in Nara Prefecture, Japan’s only remaining production area for kaya textiles. Each piece is then embroidered or printed in Wakayama Prefecture, combining craftsmanship from two historic regions.

The cloth is constructed by stitching together seven layers of kaya fabric, creating exceptional absorbency and durability. When new, it feels firm due to a natural starch finish. After rinsing with water, the fabric softens and gently shrinks, transforming into a remarkably soft, fluffy, and flexible cloth.

Highly absorbent (about 1.3 times more than cotton), quick-drying, and long-lasting, it is ideal for everyday kitchen and household use.
